Industry Vertical Analyst Who we are We are a team within Strategic Product Planning at Group Truck Technology. We conduct strategic investigations to gain deeper insights into the industry and customer needs, helping to identify future business opportunities. Our work is crucial in providing a comprehensive understanding of customer operations and how our solutions can create value. Our team is spread across various locations (Lyon, Göteborg, and Curitiba), with diverse investigative roles. We are seeking a driven and passionate individual to join our team and advance these strategic investigations, supporting the long-term goals of the Group. Job description We carry out market studies, known as Industry Vertical Investigations, to gain a deeper understanding of various markets and customer needs. These studies will serve as the foundation for this role, where you will analyze the collected data, focusing on the key parameters of safety and productivity within the industry verticals. As such, the assignment is divided into two main parts: 1. Safety Review the data collected from different industry verticals to consider what safety aspects are most important to the customers.
- What safety limits are affecting their operations today and what are the industry specific pain points?
- How are these industries looking to combat safety challenges in the future?
- What are the most prominent trends regarding safety solutions and what are the synergies and differences between industries? Identify the top safety challenges for each industry vertical and analyze common themes and industry specific safety concerns.
The result should highlight what possible new offers would bring the most customer value in terms of safety.
2. Productivity Review the data collected from different industry verticals to consider what productivity aspects are most important to the customers.
- What productivity limits are affecting their operations today and what are the industry specific pain points?
- How are these industries looking to increase productivity in the future?
- What are the most prominent trends in the market and what are the differences and synergies between industries?
- Additional focus: Automation
o Determine the automation level of each industry vertical and map pain points following the automation journey.
The result should highlight what possible new offers would bring the most customer value in terms of productivity. Occasional travels may happen (Mainly France or Sweden). For this assignment you will work closely with our strategic investigation team, allowing for you to grasp the previous data collected to form the basis of the study. We are excited to welcome a new college to the team and are looking for someone that will complement the team and engage in developing our work further.
Skills essential for the assignment:
• Professional English is mandatory.
• Knowledge about truck adjacent markets (such as logistics) is a plus. Consider that this assignment is not about researching the truck, but to gather a comprehensive understanding of the market environments surrounding the truck. Hence, previous experience in the truck business is not required.
• Previous experience in market analysis and strategic business development is beneficial. We are particularly looking for individuals with an opportunistic spirit, unafraid to push boundaries and bring a forward-thinking, future-oriented perspective.
• Candidates with a deep interest in strategic investigations and a willingness to dig beyond surface-level knowledge will be given priority.
• We seek an autonomous and energetic person who can take initiative and is capable to perform in an international cross-functional environment. Expected Education Level
• Engineering or business or finance degree (MSc or equivalent, BAC +5)
