Feature Management Engineers to Volvo Autonomous Solutions
Let us tell you a little about who we are at Volvo Autonomous Solutions: Volvo Autonomous Solutions is a young Business Area within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer autonomous transport solutions. Together we will work on autonomous solutions that will challenge current standards and take us into the future. There’s already about 400 of us and together we form a strong team ready to tackle the big challenges we have ahead of us. We are now looking for Feature Management Engineers that will join the team and work with the design of the operation from an Autonomous Transport Solution perspective. You will work as an interface between product planning and product implementation, defining the request of what the product shall be able to do, how it shall perform and support the user through the development of Use Cases and high-level system requirements.
What will you be doing?
You will be part of the Product team that detail and document the capabilities and interaction between the autonomous system operating in a customer site and the operators and maintenance staff that runs the system. The work starts in the early pre-study phases with understanding the customers current operation and how this will be impacted by an automated operation. The result of this work forms the basis and targets for the development of the complete system.
Your focus is to make sure that the Use Case- and Requirements documentation reflects both the customer expectations as well as the technical solution and is always up to date.
In the late phases of the projects the documentation also serves as the foundation for training material, operator’s manuals, and other customer related documentations.
You are part of our team of Feature Managers, and you will work closely together with Product planning, Customer Project Managers and the development organisation.

The role will require some travelling to customer sites and proving grounds to fully understand the operation. Feature Manager Position To succeed in this position, you have a strong analytic mindset and holistic view. You have a genuine interest in understanding our customers' processes and how to apply an automated system in an easy-to-understand and intuitive way for the operators.
Customer Experience You are adept at applying User Centric design principles to create solutions that meet the needs and preferences of end-users, ensuring that the user experience is seamless and engaging. Documentation and Requirements Management You have the ability to capture the operation in unambiguous documentation of Use Cases and requirements. You are proficient in requirement management and can translate customer needs into actionable specifications. Collaboration and Communication We believe you have excellent social skills, as this job is a lot about collaboration, customer- and internal relations. For us, this means that you should be a good listener, communicator, and that it is easy for you to connect with other people. Autonomous Transport Experience Experience in Autonomous Transport is highly valued. You understand the intricacies of autonomous systems and can integrate this knowledge into the development of automated solutions. Agile Development You have experience working with agile development methodologies, enabling you to adapt to changing requirements and deliver iterative improvements.
