Senior UX Designer for Trucks UX Platform team,
At Volvo Group Design in Gothenburg we are the team responsible for the UX platform supporting all our trucks brands. This means delivering UX solutions prepared for multiple brand applications, defining interaction patterns as well as delivering world class UI design.
This position will be focused on Instrument Cluster and Infotainment development for next generation of trucks, including driving related functionality, vehicle mission related functionality as well as onboard connected services. Current project time frame is mid stages, meaning delivering on already set scope, for development teams to be able to
implement pixel perfect design. Solving interaction design tasks sufficiently is a must, including understanding user needs and behaviors and to translate those into tangible interfaces for our products. Experience of working with large scale, multibrand, Design Systems is valuable.
A yes-we-can attitude with combination of structured and creative mind is key. This role includes collaboration with both local and remote developers and stakeholders, why communication and stakeholder management also plays out as important.

Previous experience
- prerequisite:
- 4-6 years of experience as a UX Designer
- Fluent user of Figma and Adobe design tools.
- Fundamental understanding of Design System construction and usage
- Working in an Agile environment, preferably following SAFe framework
- Project management attributes such as structured mind, ability to drive with focus on results
Desired skills:
- Insights into the latest trends in automotive and other technology areas.
- Understand and interpret data in a structured way.
Critical thinker, strong communicator, confident presenter (concept and design reviews), strong collaborator, own drive and ability to also work independently of others. Passionate about premium user experience and user interface design.
