Within the Strategic Product Planning organization, the Portfolio/Market Intelligence team is a proactive central hub of market intelligence, supporting Strategic Product Planning and Volvo Group strategic decisions with actionable insights, reliable facts, and forward-looking intelligence. We build market, customer, competitive and technology insights. We are now strengthening the Portfolio/Market Intelligence team with a Market Intelligence Analyst.
What we offer The Market Intelligence Analyst position is preferably opened in Lyon (France), Goteborg (Sweden) is also considered. The position is part of a global team located in Europe and in the US that supports all the Group’s truck brands and product plans. Key responsibilities:
• Drive strategic studies, competitor analysis, technology scooting, analysis of trends and industry insights. In top of the truck products, technologies and businesses, all the surrounding environment and other future competitive markets is part on your radar.
• Lead the Market Intelligence hub, securing the intelligence building and sharing across the organization.
• Collaborate with the Market & Customer Analysts, the Market and Volume Forecast Analysts and the Competitor & Product Analysts to provide market intelligence actionable insights.
• Partner with Strategic Product Planners to incorporate market intelligence into long-term product plans.
Who are you? You are driven by a genuine interest to understand the drivers and success factors in the transforming digital and carbon zero economy. You are open minded, resourceful, driven by curiosity and you like to look beyond the obvious to find. The methods and approach you use to get results are not necessarily the ones traditional found in the industry.
You must be comfortable working with the unknown in a changing environment. You are excited by open possibilities rather than going for straight answers. You like to approach topics by finding the relevant questions and address them in a structured and holistic way. You don’t give up, don’t leave any stone unturned and you dig all the way to find the answers. You are ready to take an active role in setting the directions for the transport industry. You are passionate about the possibility to work with future technologies and businesses. You are interested on the truck/automotive industry as well as on competitor benchmark, market research and technology trends. You have excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize and communicate complex relations. You have great communication and story-telling skills and have experience in presenting for executive management. You also have abilities to collaborate effectively with others and significant experience on taking lead on complex task or working groups. Truck/automotive market and product knowledge is a clear asset. Preferably you have a relevant experience on the market intelligence field.
Our corporate language is English so to be fully proficient in English is a must.
You hold a M.Sc. or an MBA in relevant fields.
