*SCOPE CHANGE: Specialist Engineer Air Intake System
Lead a defined area of technical expertise, with advanced technical complexity. Lead mechanical design engineering in a technical team. Have a holistic view on deliverables from other interfaces to secure quality & readiness before release. Spread knowledge and develop competence within the team. Develop and Manage networking across the organization and provide inputs to the project pre-requisites based on the component history.
Part of the work will be to do all of the engineering steps in a project such as.
- Design work (CREO) (*Good surface modeling knowledge required)
- Packaging studies
- Releases (KOLA, PDMLink)
- Cross functional anchoring
- Supplier contacts, SIPD discussion and negotiation
- SIPD Knowledge
***It is important that this person is flexible and open when it comes to work with CAD and also cross functionally as project leader. Flexible also when it comes to support in activities on the workshop and production line (help to replace a component in the truck / prototype together with technicians, look for parts, verify assemblies, etc)
If the person have some or al of the following knowledge and competence its an advantage:
- Experience in Volvo AB systems and development process.
- Very skilled in Creo
- Experience in Air Intake and/or surface modeling.
- Good communication skills
