We are looking for an engaged Functional Safety Engineer. You'd be supporting, in an Agile context, the local Functional Safety Manager and development teams through the Functional Safety activities for the instrument cluster (Driver Information Module), camera monitoring system, and vision camera.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide support to EUF owners, design engineers (System/HW/SW Engineers), analysis/test engineer (verification & validation roles), project management and management at the product stream with the use of FS processes/methods and FS competence, including developing local instructions.
- Provide technical support and coaching to execute & finalize the functional safety activities related to the product stream (e.g., Safety Plan, HARA, FSC, TSC, embedded SW development, verification and validation of safety requirements)
- Define, monitor, and evaluate supplier’s safety responsibilities. (e.g., Functional Safety – Statement of Work, Joint Reviews)
- Ensure that the product stream fulfils its safety responsibilities in each project with regards to releasing needed artefacts (e.g., Safety Cases)
- Support the local Functional Safety manager in some project areas.
Competence focus for this role is a strong knowledge and previous practice of Functional Safety implementation, ISO26262 standard, coaching and knowledge management, and software development knowledge in C (Autosar) and C++. Prior experience in the automotive industry is good to have.
