Our team currently consists of 12 engineers with different professional backgrounds, interests and history but with one common mindset: To develop our products and ourselves! With the sea as our closest neighbor, where a lunch walk along the seaside in Arendal is an energy boosting and relaxing activity, we gather to secure the quality and competitiveness of our products in a fast-evolving business.

In our group, we focus on the development of Driver Environment and Driver Assistance systems. Having a global responsibility, the solutions developed within the team can be found in Volvo buses all over the world helping millions of people every day to reach their destination. In our global responsibility, we cooperate with our sites in Poland, Mexico and Brazil, as well as with our Volvo-owned brands Prevost and Nova in North America. You will contribute to our development of world-class solutions for the driver experience, including for example ergonomics, usability and visibility. You will work in an agile/lean way, where you will be a member of a high-performing, cross functional team that will work closely together with different stakeholders within Volvo Group to achieve our Driver Environment and Driver Assistance goals.
Main area of responsibility: 
You will be a part of the Driver Assistance & Driver Environment group within the Electrical & Software Architecture Department. You will play an important role in securing the competitiveness of our vehicles for the Instrument Cluster area and your main responsibilities are: 

• Ensure that the ECU SW and HW fulfills the requirements from technical, quality, time and cost perspective. Discussions with internal and external stakeholders

• Coordinate, document and release new ECU and ESW according to Volvo processes. Secure strategy compliance, quality and requirement fulfillment. 

• Plan, implement and follow-up (in both short- and long-term) the development of ECU and ESW

• Participate in the development and maintenance of roadmaps

• Act as main contact and answer questions from different stakeholders and areas.

• Act as the Team Leader for the team and facilitate agile ceremonies, PI plannings and similar
• Support the team in the daily activities and in the team development

BSc or MSc degree in electrical/software engineering or equivalent is highly valuable as well as previous experience of system and architectural design within Instrument Cluster. Experience from Volvo WoW and tools such as KOLA are a plus.
Since you have good engineering judgment and priorities, you have the ability and interest to technically support and challenge colleagues in their work and their mindset. You like to share your passion for technical solutions and you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a person you are positive, you display driving force, have a structured way of working and are eager to learn new skills and driven by self-development.
