ROLE DESCRIPTION Chassis development department works with installation of complete chassis for FH/FM/FMX and are responsible for the complete chassis delivery. We are constantly increasing our product change portfolio along with new technologies such as battery electric vehicles and fuel cell technology. As a Build update leader your main responsibility is to be chassis department responsible when it comes to prototype vehicle builds, rig updates and rebuilds. You will be the department representative in different fora’s such as Vehicle Update Meetings, run by Product Build. The tasks will be to investigate how build updates are affecting chassis department in different product updates, and then to secure specification updates in PROTOM system and secure material through material request order which is the carrier for material of test objects. You work in close cooperation with product build, chassis component owners, prototype workshops, production plants and many more. The role entails a large personal responsibility, supported by your team when needed. You will act as the link between the design engineers, Product managers and Epic owners. You will also be the interface towards truck uptime owners to assist them in securing spare parts when needed for field test trucks.

You are an engineer with preferably experience of coordination. You have several years of Volvo truck product knowledge, especially within Chassis product area. You are proficient in English. A must is knowledge in Volvo systems such as PROTOM, Gloria, KOLA, Creo view etc.
(position typically requires 2 to 5 years relevant experience)Physical Build Project Manager, supports the organization on planning, coordination and follow-up of build and test activities on projects at Volvo, securing a good status between systems and physical test objects according to project frame. Lead, plan, organize and control the Physical Build activities in close cooperation with the project team and PME within Product Development projects. This to meet the projects prototype need of Physical Builds and parts according to specified requirements.Physical Build Project Manager on Professional level applies practical knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience (position typically requires 2 to 5 years relevant experience). Manage smaller projects with low complexity or a part of a bigger project, with support from a senior project manager. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
