Developer – aftermarket spare parts
What we offer.
Cars Service Business is a unit within Volvo Cars, which is responsible for the worldwide aftermarket business. At our department Service & Technology we distribute spare parts, accessories, service and repair methods and special tools. Our ambition is to be the preferred supplier of spare parts and service to our dealers and customers and thereby actively contribute to creating the best car ownership experience for the customer.
Your key tasks.
Define and present the range of spare parts needed by an optimal component breakdown with respect to technology, functionality, quality, cost of ownership and sustainability. You will monitor activities in new car projects and run changes as well as collect data and prepare it for further processing within Cars Service Business. The role also includes editorial production in our global VIDA system and development of our future information products.
You and your skills.
To be successful in this role, you need to have technical interest and knowledge, if you have a background from being a Mechanic/Technician in the automotive industry it is meritorious. You need to be fluent in Swedish and English (both written and spoken). If you are used to work with user experience perspective could be an asset in this role. Experience in product development, VIDA and Catia Composer or similar programs could benefit you in this role but is not a necessity.
