The Climate department is responsible for the climate development within Volvo Car Group and is part of the Vehicle Platform unit within Volvo Car's Engineering division. We own most of the components connected to the climate function and the SW-control of the same. Part of this is the HVAC control team which is responsible for developing the software that ensures passengers' comfort temperature is achieved and at a minimal power cost.
* *** What will you do?
**** We are looking for someone to work either with modelling and controlling the air mass flow (kg/h) and the temperature provided by the HVAC system or modelling and controlling the refrigerant loop of our heat pump system. The main responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and implement control algorithms for Climate comfort functions
- Perform SW testing and verification (unit test, MIL, SIL, HIL, vehicle, etc.)
- Perform trouble shooting and fix issues
- Ensure functional standards, best practices applied.
- Coaches and partners with SW team to guide appropriate test solutions.
* *** What are we looking for ?

- M.Sc. within Systems, Control and Mechatronics, SW Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent experience.
- Experience in embedded software design and implementation
- Understand the E/E architecture of intelligent electric vehicles (topology, nodes interactions, testing activities).
- Experience with Model Based Development using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Knowledge about CANoe/CANalyzer is a plus
- Knowledge about ETAS INCA/MDA is a plus
- Knowledge of continuous integration concept, familiar with CI tool chain Zuul, Jenkins, Git, Gerrit etc. is a plus
- Knowledge in programming languages like C, C++ and Python.
- Good level of written and spoken English
- Climate system knowledge is a plus.
- A driving license “B”, valid in Sweden.
