This is us. At Volvo Cars, we’re expanding our in-house software development capabilities as part of our vision to lead the transformation in automotive technology. Within the Core System Software department, we are building the high-performance in-vehicle compute cluster that will power our upcoming pure electric and self-driving vehicles. This platform will support a wide range of vehicle applications, from basic state machine functionalities to advanced safety systems and autonomous driving.
Our multi-core architecture includes high-performance (HP) systems on a chip (SoC), providing a framework for current and future services. We are now looking for experienced software development engineers with a genuine problem-solving attitude to strengthen our software development organization.
What you will do At Core System Platform we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture – key for enabling innovation within areas such as advanced connectivity, machine learning and autonomous drive. Our mission is to build a full stack embedded development environment focusing on creating a safe, reliable, and secure platform solution to enable the next generation of innovative car applications.

Who are you? We believe that you want to build modern, modular and stable platforms and appreciate efficient continuous integration environments. To be successful in this job we also believe that you have experience from working in a Linux environment and preferably good development competence in areas like
• Python
• C/C++ for POSIX-like environments
• Shell scripting If you already have experience working with things like

• Gerrit
• Bazel
• Zuul
• Docker
• CMake
it will be meritorious as well.
