Background The Volvo Group has received a consent order from the US National Traffic Safety Agency (NHTSA) resulting in a $130 MUSD fine with $45 MUSD dependent on the rectifying actions taken from August 2023 until August 2025. NHTSA requires Volvo to build a Safety Data Analytics Infrastructure covering automatic safety issue detection, recall management and reporting. The North America organization is currently working hard with implementation of the systems and processes to close the consent order in a program (SDAI). It has now been requested by SVP for Complete Vehicle to utilize the huge investment in NA to also improve processes and tools globally and in specific in EU. We will now start a pre-study to evaluate possibilities using SDAI implementation in NA to improve the reporting and recall management process in Product Safety Europe/International organization.
Position Description Business Analyst supporting Enterprise Architect for SDAI Europe in the team Product Compliance Solutions.
Main responsibilities: Support EA by investigate and document European ways of working, current routines and workflows. Gather information and support regarding architectural and technical issues, as well as understanding how safety issues are managed in North America under the current NHTSA SDAI project. Helping with Application Maps and Data flows descriptions.
We are looking for a someone with:
• Knowledge of the Volvo Group technical landscape in Compliance Area
• Experiences of working with architectural issues
• University degree in either engineering, IT or other relevant university background or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge
• Experience from and knowledge of IT development in Process and IT projects
• Experience from product development
