Job Description: System Integration Project Manager Volvo Electromobility
We are seeking a System Integration Project Manager to lead cross-functional integration efforts between software and hardware in advanced automotive projects on a large system level
We expect the numbers of components deliveries to increase and by that number of systems integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Integration Leadership:
o Oversee seamless integration of software and hardware systems within large complex automotive platforms.
• Daily follow up:
o For the 12 components, and all the variants of SW and HW and dependencies to the rest of the electrical and electronic vehicle system secure progress of the project system common deadlines
For both next coming system delivery/integration and the 1-2 next in pipe
Items to monitor, act on ,drive, hunt, support, carry USB-stick etc. are
• SW delivery from supplier
• Protom updated
• Node template updated and in place
• KDCN freeze
• SW broken down
• Integration level 4
• Functional test
• SWDL test on component level
• Application network tested on component (power modes)
• Last date for signal database changes inputs
• Possible re-delivery
• D-DCN approved
• K-DCN approved
• Delivery to integration point 5
• Cross-Functional Coordination:
o Lead planning and collaboration between software and hardware teams, ensuring alignment on technical requirements and deliverables.
• Integration Planning:
o In close cooperation with PM System and SW release management define scope, objectives, and milestones for system integration. Develop and monitor project schedules.
• Issue Resolution:
o Proactively identify integration challenges, manage risks, and implement timely solutions.
• Testing & Validation:
o Coordinate system testing and validation, ensuring systems meet functional and safety requirements.
• Reporting:
o Keep PME informed about latest status and possible hurdles and wins
Required Skills:
• Long experience of automotive electrical and electronics systems (including high level understanding of autosar)
• Experience from SW & HW integration in a larger context
• Skilled in the release process of SW and HW within automotive, AB Volvo is meritizing
• Embedded SW development
• Knowledge in SW configuration
• High level understanding of CAN, Automotive Ethernet, HIL systems, system righs & vehicle verification & validation
• Understanding of continous integration & development
• Strong expertise in system integration (SW & HW)
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams
• Strong operative leader
• Strong sence of urgency
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
