SW & System design engineer
As a System Design Engineer for Cameras, you will be in the center of the component development. You will design/maintain the Camera system architecture and define its interfaces to secure the integration of the component with the main Core Computing system.
You have been working with SW architecture & design before and can strengthen the team in creating a flexible SW platform and support our developers and suppliers to create an optimized the SW delivery. Your responsibilities include the handshake and breakdown of functional and non-functional requirements to modules, components and interfaces. In your work you need to be able to work in a structured way, adopt to new tools (Carweaver, Team Center), have good communication and collaboration with your stakeholders & dependencies, such us Solution Architects, sensor suppliers, Function and AD/ADAS Software Dev teams.
*Your key tasks
You will together with your team develop and maintain a robust system/SW design for our exterior camera platform. In the work you will also make sure that we have defined SW processes both internal and external, securing functional safety, drive needed cyber security investigations and optimize sensor integration. You will gather and define requirements and make sure we have a robust and quality assured SW delivery from the platform by ASPICE assessments. We are handling memory intensive applications and processing sensor data in NVIDIA core compute system.
We see that you have experience within: − Software architecture design in complex embedded systems − Real time fault tolerant software design − Coding experience in C/C++ and Python − Object oriented development − Working with different functional safety standards e.g. ISO26262, SOTIF and Cyber security
It’s meritorious to have knowledge in: − Ethernet, TCP/IP, CAN − Linux
- Automotive Diagnostic Concepts − Git, Gerrit, Jenkins − NVIDIA automotive HW/SW tools
- Volvo Car Way of Working (Experience with Core System Platform/Components) You have: − AT least Bachelor of Science within electronics, mechatronics, software or similar − More than 5 years of experience with SW design work − Very good skills in English both written and spoken − Driver`s license “B”, valid in EU is meritorious.
It is expected to demonstrate system design concepts if selected for an interview
