What you will work with
As a Traffic Safety Accident Data Analyst, you will be analyzing data from external accident databases as well as deep dive into large amounts of data produced by Volvo trucks. You will be searching for answers to questions that we want to understand and to questions we did not know how to ask. What type of accidents occurs on our roads? Which events lead to accidents and why?

Explore accident database statistics to establish priority of areas with respect to injury severity. Take on large amounts of vehicle data to find patterns and relations to classify different types of events and accidents.
In this role, you will be networking and collaborating internally at Volvo Group Trucks Technology with various development teams. You will write reports, create PowerBI boards, develop methods and tools for data analysis.

Your assignment will be as an integrated member of the Volvo Trucks Accident Research Team. This is truly a team with heritage and purpose! For more than 50 years, this cross-disciplinary team has investigated and analyzed traffic accidents with the constant strive to improve traffic safety by making our Volvo products and roads safer.

For being successful in this role, we believe that you hold a Master of Science or equivalent in a relevant field. We also see that you have experience from:

Data analytics and statistics
Automotive industry and traffic safety
Accident databases
Azure Cloud Platform
Databricks
Power BI
SQL
Python
English and Swedish proficiency, needed to work in the Swedish accident database.
