Position Description We are now looking for a telematics engineer to our electrical team within the Customer Quality Experience (CQE) department.
Be a part of a team that solves systematic quality issues at Volvo Buses. Once the team has been assigned a problem the work starts to really understand that specific system/component and what has been reported, finding the root cause and later doing the necessary changes (system/component/installation redesign etc.) to be able to finally implement a solution for the customers.
For the team to be effective various competences is needed
- analyzing data, in design and in testing for both hardware and software (CAD, installation, wiring, function development, system architecture, verification). And to be able to break down problems to what really matters and keep a network to all relevant stakeholders.
The position We are looking for someone to strengthen our team mainly in the telematics area. You will lead, together with the team, the taskforces needed to drive the company to solve systematic problems within the telematic area. We want you to develop a holistic view of the telematics system to find ways to improve the system and efficiently troubleshoot potential problems, both for the on-board part and the off-board part. You will perform investigations and verification related to the performance of the system.
You will act, together with the team, as a force for improvement
- to keep the system competitive and increase the utilization for both the company and our customers. You will monitor the system performance and develop tools and methods for the company to be proactive using the data extracted.
You will also contribute to the team in other areas relevant to the team.

Required Skills
• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Experience from working with telematics
• Analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Networking skills.

- English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Skills/Experiences
• Previous experience from working within Volvo Group and with relevant components/tools/systems such as Kola, configurator, SnAC, Volvo Connect, TGW etc.
• Previous experience from development and/or verification of automotive systems/components
