Volvo Penta is aiming for taking big steps in digitalization, both in the form of digital services to our customers, but also to increase internal efficiency. We also aim to leverage our data on this journey, which means that data quality, data analysis and data management is increasingly important.
This assignment is for a project manager, responsible for driving one or two Process & IT projects with high complexity, close to the Volvo Penta business
Current assignment is Rolling out a Access Management System for VolvoPenta and coordinate upgrade for all affected applications in Volvo Pentas portfolio. The system is provided by Central Volvo D&IT hence deep collaboration needed. The Project Manager are also responsible for deep collaboration with Volvo Penta Business including all affected regions and markets to secure that daily operation goes unharmed through the rollout.
You are responsible for creating the project plan and securing the delivery of the agreed scope within time and budget, with a strong customer focus. Our projects are increasingly cross-functionally set-up, with multiple stakeholders involved and you will have to coordinate activities in many different areas of our business to meet your project objectives.
Our way of working is evolving from projects to products, but we still see a need for strong project management skills in order to build and deliver solutions E2E across many functions and teams.
Experience and qualifications:
• Extensive project management experience (5-10 years)
• Well familiar with both traditional project management techniques as well as agile methodologies
• Proven track record from having built digital solutions, for internal use or for customers
• Experience from driving projects involving data analysis and data management
• Strong analytical skills and an interest to build a deeper knowledge about our solutions which support our business and our customers
• Relevant experience from service or product development
• Team player with excellent communication and networking skills and a can-do attitude
• Having managed P&IT projects within the Volvo Group is an advantage for this position, but not a must
