Position typically requires ?5 years of relevant experience.

You will be involved in defining the wiring harnesses for the next generation of our electromobility platform, that will be used both in marine and industrial applications worldwide.

As a Wiring & Harness Engineer you will be systemizing setups for wiring harnesses, both traction and low voltage, for customer applications and internal test objects. Other tasks will be to design, plan, and execute implementation of new wiring harnesses through cross-functional coordination with the other teams in the Volvo Penta organization.

Furthermore, you will support prototype builds, and fault tracing. You will also be working together with customers during build, integration and testing phase to see the new product take shape. Weekly contact with suppliers and following up on deliveries will be a part of your responsibilities.

You will occasionally be asked to perform hands-on work, for example building or reworking prototype harnesses for internal use, so it is beneficial if you have experience from manufacturing or electrician background.

Note that this role does not include performing CAD work or releasing drawings. It is focused of the design and application support part.
