Short Description Role: Embedded Software Owner 

Focus area: Inhouse Software development 

Experience: Senior, Specialist or Expert

Looking for an experienced Embedded Software Owner with experience of embedded software development, integration and verification. This person shall have the ability and interest to grow their network both internal and external with other AB Volvo brands. Volvo Buses is a small organization and you need to be proactive and self-motivated.

Main area of responsibility
• Technical ownership for the design, requirements, interfaces and quality assurance
• Backlog ownership; prioritize and plan software deliveries in corporation with the DPO and Integration Lead
• Drive estimations, including scope, time, and budget, as input to projects
• Lead cross-functional development work
• Contribute to technical roadmaps of different product areas within the department
• Support the two teams to develop and maintain WoW
• Create a common workflow including methods and tools for application SW development and secure its quality, integration, and V3 Verification
• Connecting with other product areas (such as Architecture, Rigs support, CI/CD) to give the proper input to secure the complete department WoW function development flow
• Approve Software readiness level from V3

This is you
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electrical/software engineering or equivalent

• Good knowledge of the application SW development, integration and V3 Verification

• Expert in planning skills

• Good Leadership skills

• Good knowledge of Develop Product (DP) process and Develop Embedded Solution process
• Expert in communication and networking skills
• Knowledge in development tools for embedded SW development, integration and V3 verification
