We are looking for an experienced UX Researcher for pre-study in E2E Onboarding initiative.
The “onboarding” of new employees has always been a complex process with several local variants, multiple tools and platforms used for different onboarding steps. The definition of what onboarding means has also varied and brought additional concerns to the dialogues around this topic. The overall pre-study initiative for E2E Onboarding aims at:
Understand the expectations and needs of digital support/solutions to the E2E onboarding process
Understand the gaps towards current digital support/solutions across Volvo Group companies/countries and divisions
Identify/specify the possible solution(s), the architecture and the process that connects them that will significantly improve the digital support/solutions for E2E Onboarding
The objective of this assignment is to understand employee, manager and HRBP’s perspective to form an outside-in view the Onboarding process. This includes:
Which activities/steps related to Onboarding is used today by manager/new hire
Which digital support/solution(s) are used
Identify the pain-points in the current Onboarding process(es)
Document the expectations/needs from managers/new hires on digital support/solution(s) for E2E Onboarding
The intention is to summarize the available material and possibly supplement with additional data. This particular assignment/role is that we have an extremely diverse and broad user group, from factory workers to high management to people from different cultures, etc.
Experience & Skills: Skilled UX Researcher with the readiness to create the high-level user journey in the onboarding process. Able to do research starting from the initial research plan, through the recruitment and carrying out the user research, delivering the visual form of user journey with the pains, gains and jobs-to be done filled in. UX Researcher demonstrates broad experience in UX Research is passionate about digging into users’ perspective. Proficient in various research methods, such as desk research, surveys, user research, usability testing. The ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner and with a basic understanding of psychology and human behavior for interpreting user actions and reactions is a prerequisite. UX Researcher with a strong collaboration skills, able to work closely with UX Leads and UX Designers. Since we are covering all of Volvo Group the UX Researcher needs to juggle the different user segments and be able to judge which ones need further looking into and be able to find representable users for testing.
