On Specialist level the employee is a specialist in Simulation & Analysis Engineering typically obtained through education and work experience (position typically requires 8 years or more relevant experience).
In this role as Simulation Engineer you will plan, lead and perform computer aided analysis of transmissions with 3D CFD and 1D flow models. These gearboxes will be installed in conventional or BEV applications. You will support project leaders and design engineers in all project phases with technical solutions. You are involved in concept design and new technologies at Driveline. StarCCM+, GT-Suite and ANSA will be your main tools.
It is expected that you present and explain your results at meetings as well as in technical reports. You need to be able to work both independently and in cross functional teams.
To be successful, we believe you have the following skills/experience:
• Master of Science or higher in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Applied Mechanics or equivalent
• Previous experience of Powertrain analysis from product development or research
• Experience from working with CFD and in the tools ANSA / StarCCM+
• Work experience of 1D flow simulations in the industry is beneficial, preferably by using GT-Suite
• Programming competence in Matlab or Python is a strong merit.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
