Vehicle Dynamics Software Quality Engineer

As part of our Technology Stream, we are working globally, and with our colleagues from purchasing, manufacturing and aftermarket we deliver solutions to all truck brands of Volvo Group. Globally responsible for the area of Vehicle Dynamics, located in three sites: Bangalore, Lyon and Gothenburg, we proudly take ownership of our technology. We will continue to grow in capacity and responsibility in the coming years!
Your future role? In close collaboration with Vehicle Dynamics engineering teams you will have a central role in selecting, prioritizing and facilitating product quality assurance activities integrated in our product development. The assignment will give you unique opportunities to be a part in all different phases of our product development from early exploration phases to start of production. The Vehicle Dynamics organization need guidance in what quality tools to apply when and also a strong quality tool facilitator to support us during the different development stages. In addition, there is an ambition for us to climb the ladder of ASPICE, and here you will be the driving force and guide the organization on this journey. Responsibilities:
• Secure that Quality Task Plan are set, agreed, executed and followed during development.
• Support our design engineers in quality tools and methods to reach the expected product quality level.
• Educate the organization in quality methods and tools.
• Be an ambassador for product quality mindset in the organization.
• Support lessons learn activities securing continues improvement.
Who are You? You are an engineer and team player with background in software development within the automotive industry. With your personality and pragmatic approach, you are able to connect with people and inspire actions related to improving software quality as well as the related processes. To succeed in your role we think you have:
• MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience from: o Product development in the automotive industry within the areas of Electrical and Electronics, function development and software development o Proactive Product Quality Assurance methods and tools for both SW and HW o Product Safety and ISO 26262 o SS7740
• Certificate as Automotive SPICE assessor
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Goal oriented, organized and structured
• Very good social, networking and communication skills
