Role description
Optimize complete logistics flows (from supplier to point of use) based on efficiency and safety. Prepare and coordinate the tact time, process, and product changes.
Work description
We are looking for a committed production logistics engineer to help us improve and sustain Tuve a world class factory in truck manufacturing. Main work will be to apply lean thinking and improve our internal materials flows. Some of your main tasks are to secure the introduction of product updates, create conditions for new parts, set up the material flow, investigate equipment needed and prepare material facades. About half of your worktime will be on the shop floor, supporting logistics and assembly with problem solving and improving our material flows.
The other half will be in the office, collaborating with other dedicated engineers to come up with smart solutions and future setups.
System preparation is key to create setups and analyze material flows in the modern logistic engineer’s daily work.
Personal skills:
Experience in logistic flows, lean thinking and an understanding of inbound logistics. Effective communication skills, change management, customer service minded and good with handling people is required. Ability to respond quickly to problems and come up with solutions.
Profound analytic ability with excellent computers skills, and an interest in working with, and understanding IT-systems are important qualifications. and customer service is an advantage.
College or university education in production or logistics engineering is preferable. Experience of factory work is an advantage.
1-3 years’ experience in logistics and/or production engineering.
Fluent in Swedish and English is a prerequisite.
