The role
As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible to drive the complete delivery of our SW, electronic and electrical HW for a new battery pack. This is developed together with a supplier. The project is in a critical phase and it is of outmost importance that the person is able to manage stress, can have flexible working hours, can take initiatives and drive any kind of topic to resolution.
This role requires a structured way of working and make sure that deliveries are synchronized towards the main project plan and if there are deviations the work will also require to be a driving part in mitigation plans. The role will also include managing eventual change requests, including time, technique, and cost. It is required to have a cross functional network while driving the deliverables forward, i.e., connect RnD with other stakeholders such as purchasing, supplier, production, after-market etc.
To succeed in this role, you need
• A bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics or similar (equivalent experience is also adequate).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably within electrification.
• Knowledge in embedded electronics, such as software download, diagnostics, aftermarket manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of Li-ion batteries, battery systems, power electronics.
• Experience from similar roles such as Product Owner, project leader etc.
Meritorious, if you have
• Basic understanding in Functional Safety and ISO-26262.
• Basic understanding of UNECE R155 Regulation, ISO 21434 Standard, Cybersecurity management process.
• Knowledge of requirement handling process, i.e., by using System Weaver.
• Experience from working according to the Volvo DVP process.
