Product Safety Engineer role is to assure potential safety-related risks and issues are addressed according to defined processes in order to safeguard the product Safety of Volvo Group products. Identify and mitigate, together with engineering, the impact and occurrence of potential failures of a product, vehicle function or system. Perform safety audits and engine installation audits within projects. Lead and perform investigations related to product safety and secure assignment of required resources.. 

On Senior level applies advanced knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience.

Responsibilities may include: 

* Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. 

* Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. 

* Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
