Who are we?
We are a team of driven Project leaders that take pride in our jobs. We belong to the Product Builds department, within Complete Vehicle Sweden, where we build tomorrows trucks today and deliver prototypes that are ready for testing, verification, validation. To do this, we collaborate and network within multiple teams in the Volvo Group from Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Prototype Workshops, Factory Operations and Quality. We love solving problems creatively and always ensure our customers receive products that are among the best in the world. And most importantly, we enjoy doing what we do.
What you will do in a nutshell
- Gather the physical build needs and requirements of the project.
- Align and plan with all stake holders for a smooth start and delivery of the prototype builds.
- Plan, monitor and update material budget and resources needed.
- Trigger the ordering of material and keep a close eye on material status of prototypes.
- Lead the activities during the build and secure test objects are delivered to test.
Your Responsibilities will also include.
- Representing Product Builds in various fora’s across the Volvo Group
- Report regular build status to the project.
- Manage the internal product build network and deliver according to milestones in the project build process.
- Ensure BOM and Vehicle Specification updates are documented in our systems (PROTOM etc.)
- Completing needed campaigns for pre-production trucks and reporting status.
- Support in continuously improving the way we work with our processes and tools.
Who are you?
You have at least 7 years work experience within the manufacturing industry with a minimum of 2 years from the Automotive industry related to prototyping, production or engineering project management. In addition to the above, Supply Chain experience is seen as a bonus.
You are a natural leader, self-driven, analytical and a doer who works in a structured way. You like working with people as much as you like technology. You can communicate effectively and clearly in English. You are passionate about solving problems and cross functional collaboration. You love challenges and you possess the ability to see opportunities where others see obstacles. You have the ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment. You are curious about change and would like to play a key role in the transformation towards the future of sustainable transportation.
