You will be our Embedded SW integration specialist, a pro-active person with a pragmatic approach who can guide in planning & delivering concrete implementation level "hands-on" activities in an efficient way based on agile setup using as much automation as possible.
What we do: We are responsible for our embedded software platform which includes Volvo Autosar Platform (VAP), Linux, and Volvo Dynamic Software Platform (VDSP) based on Adaptative Autosar and Hypervisor technologies. It is on this platform, all in-house developed applications run on and make our commercial vehicles come to life that bring joy to our end-customer and their day-to-day work. Your new team consist of warm, supporting and beyond everything, highly skilled people that seeks a new colleague that will complement them and put Functional Safety in the center of our development.
What you will do:
• Formulate a plan and deliver on how work to work incrementally with integration of hyperviors and other low level SW in our HPCs in an agile development environment considering ISO26262 needs
• Build backlog of concrete activities around documentation, implementation & verification (code/hands-on level) in a smart and agile way
• Follow up on the team’s progress to ensure that expectations are reached e.g. via metrics.
Your background Who are you?
• A person passionate about embedded systems and specifically software
• Capable to analyse and apply knowledge on not fully given frames. The product and procedures are given; however, the work requires experience and the capacity to perform analysis and draw conclusions from thousands of puzzle pieces in complex embedded system solution
• Eager to take operational responsibility in the day-to-day work and not hesitating to collaborate to get things done
• You have very good programming skills in C in embedded environment and "hands-on" experience working with complex embedded software solution/design
• You have good programming skills in C and/or C++ in embedded environment
• Interested in automation, CI and CD
• Service mindset to provide a help in building a concrete code level plan and activities to fulfil functional safety requirements
• Excellent hands on experience working with ISO 26262/IEC_61508/SS 7740 standards for embedded systems
Beneficial qualifications
• Good education in Software Engineering, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering or equivalent
• Experience of working with real-time embedded systems
• Good experience with CI environment, GIT, Jenkins
• Experience in agile development
• Experience with Classic AUTOSAR and related tools is a big advantage
