Project Planner with focus on Vehicle Build Management at Group Trucks Technology
At the Project and Product Strategy Office we are proud to navigate and lead the Volvo Group’s transition into the future of sustainable transports. As Vehicle Build Manager at Heavy Duty Range you will be part of a high performing team of experts within project and program management. You will lead and influence the program builds over time and secure the assurance activities towards these program builds. By making sure that the builds successfully meet the intended targets you are part of securing a predictable product launch to our customers. To succeed with your tasks, you will use your expertise in project management together with some well proven methods and tools. You will work independently but you will not be alone. Your main focus will be as the Vehicle Build Manger at Heavy Duty Range for program builds and driving the way we work in these areas forward. You will do that by having these core responsibilities:
• Consolidate the part status towards program builds and address any deviations to the concerned projects
• Structure and plan for cross-functional follow up of the parts towards builds
• Manage and follow up the late handling foras
• Be part and support in the program build securement foras
• Make lessons learned and drive the way of working forward with efficiency- and quality improvements
Required competences and experiences:
• University/Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of work experience including build or component planning
• Experience of project management or equivalent leadership of component development
• Knowledge in business intelligence tools, e.g. Excel, Power-Bi, preferred
• Skilled in facilitating meetings, real and virtual
• Analytical and well organized is a must
• You show ownership mentality with a strong drive for results solving complicated task
