Development and maintenance of the hardware and software for the vehicle communication interface (VOCOM) used by the diagnsotic application for all Volvo Group products worldwide.
Main responsibilities:
• Support both internal and external users
• Analyze logs and perform root cause analysis
• Discuss and develop solutions for user complaints and planned improvements
• Understand business needs and translate into requirements for the vehicle communication interface
• Maintain the test framework and implement new test caes
• Perform manual tests
• Design, develop and maintain software tools for data analysis and problem solving
Knowledge areas:
• Electronics / embedded SW development
• Basic knowledge of Linux is a must
• Programming in Python is a must
• Basic knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (UDS, CAN, J1587, J1939, etc.)
• Knowledge of Vector tools is a merit (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.)
• SAFe and ISTQB certificates are merits
• Programming in GoLang, C, C++, C#, .NET is a merit
