Functional Safety Manager/Engineer
The main responsibilities entailed in this role are: Lead and perform functional safety engineering activities for product development teams and develop technical work products. Planning and ensure that safety plan activities meet program timing. Drive the development of functional and technical safety concepts within the function, system, subsystem, software, and hardware Support the development of verification and validation strategies within the subsystems, software, and hardware, e.g. hazard and risk assessment (HARA), FTAs, DFMEAs, functional safety concept & technical safety concept Align the Functional Safety standards and industry common practices into VBC processes. Ensure functional safety work products are prepared, and stored correctly, and revisions are managed and released in timely manner. Align safety related topics with suppliers and customers. Support and coach the organization with respect to functional safety.

Required qualifications: M.Sc. or B.Sc. within Relevant area Functional Safety Certification High Knowledge of functional safety activities and deliveries according to ISO 26262 Documented experience of working with functional work products. Understanding of SW/HW Architecture & schematics Experience from working within Volvo Group is an advantage. Fluent in English, spoken and written Excellent communication skills.
Who are we, your new colleagues? You will be part of a fantastic central team of about 15 persons within Platform Development organization, which are responsible for many different areas as Technical Product Documentation/PDM, CAD/DMU/VPDM process development and support, Geometrical Architecture, Product Cyber Security, FMEA and Functional Safety. What we share together as a team is that we, besides our expertise knowledge and responsible deliveries, we also do a lot of supporting activities. For example, guide and train the organization within our areas as well as securing they deliver the expected quality and according to our processes.
