Thermal Management HW engineer Thermal Management is a department within Vehicle Technology responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining an optimized cab climate and vehicle cooling & heating systems for all types of propulsion installations to all truck brands within the Volvo Group. We are responsible for leading the work with strategies and advanced engineering globally. We are located at Gothenburg and Bangalore and we have close cooperation with the sites in Greensboro and Lyon. We understand the final customer needs and apply our knowledge to develop technical concepts and solutions that satisfy customer and business needs. The work is based on innovation, shared technology, common architecture, and brand uniqueness. We are now looking for an engineer working with the development of Thermal Management components in the Refrigerant & Cab Air Distribution system team. You will coordinate the cross-functional work in the development of new technology as well as maintenance work for your area. You will plan, lead and quality secure the component development in different phases of the product lifecycle. You will lead the work with the development suppliers and coordinate the work with the cross-functional team and with colleagues globally. Design documentation is done in Kola and PDMLink. In this team we work mainly with mechatronic components, why understanding of SW and electronics is important. Requirements: Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Experience from Automotive Climate and Cooling system and components development OR experience from working with complex components with development suppliers in other technical areas Electrical HW knowledge SW knowledge and understanding is considered a merit Excellent communication and collaboration skills English proficiency In order to be successful in this position we think that you have an open and positive attitude and that you are self-driven.
